Hello teachers of the world!

We now live in fast changing times, yet some of us on pause, some in action, some discovering new ways of being and exploring new ways of working. For us a deep personal change and development always happens after a big struggle, a bad experience, a difficult situation.
We all know how frustrating teaching dance online has become.
Running out of ideas, the children getting bored and tired and us worrying about the physical safety of our students on the other side of the screen.
We are contacting you today to share with you our brand new, customised online creative movement and dance program for young children, hoping to inspire you to stay active and help your students keep on dancing, learning, dreaming and growing gracefully.
We have put together our experience, knowledge and love and we have prepared for you a brand new creative dance movement program MOVING AT HOME, for 4 to 12 years old, especially adapted for online classes, designed for empowerment, and endurance, flexibility and balance, for the development of creative ideas, concepts and challenges and with many many fun creative dance games.
It is based on long-term research that Natasa Georgiou, has been developing and practicing for over 30 years now and all the information you will receive from our videos may be re-adapted and applied at the studio when this whole adventure is over.
The location of a dance class has moved from studio, to the internet and to people's homes. This has raised safety issues, regarding the students practice at home.
For this reason we have prepared some guidelines for parents, so as to help them create a safe environment for their children, to be able to continue practicing what they love most.
For the same reason we have also created a custom -made safety mat, for the students to work on, that can fit in any area. Using the mat during the online dance session, offers spatial awareness to the dancers, helping them remain within the camera frame and to be constantly visible to the instructor. This mat can also be used at the studio later on, to secure the right distance between the students. You can find more information on the guidelines for safe practice and how to purchase the mat on our page.
Working online has also raised several ethical questions, such as whether dance can be taught online, mainly for the aforementioned safety reasons but also because nothing can replace personal contact in the studio.
In addition to appropriate flooring, dance classes need the human personal contact between teacher and student, as well as the empowering atmosphere of physical contact with the whole group.
But due to COVID -19 restriction measures, we are left with two choices.
A. STOP ALL ACTIVITIES
B. GO ONLINE
It is true that we all need food on our table to survive, but we also need reason and inspiration to live by. That's why our students need our support now, more than ever before.
For us what we do, it is not just a job. It's a mission. It is our obligation to continue inspiring our students and watch them grow, thrive and shine gracefully.
SO, ADAPTATION IS OUR SOLUTION.
Under difficult circumstances and repeated lockdowns, we have been forced to adapt our classes several times, to comply with the health protection measures, while still enabling our students to continue their activities that keep them balanced physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
We are here to encourage you to pass on the strength, inspiration and empowerment to your students, through the online MOVING AT HOME creative dance classes and use the tools creatively and effectively. And yes we need to develop extra patience, calmness, and commitment.
For those of you who have already tried ZOOM and found it difficult to work with music, the good news is that you are not alone. The bad news is that you will never get precision timing in a ZOOM class, for the simple reason that sound travels more slowly than light and ZOOM was not created for dance classes.
This is one of the major reasons why we decided to put on a special dance and movement program, that doesn't need precision of timing but applies all elements of a dance class, in a more creative way.
We have also established a special non verbal communication system with the students, using universal signals, in a fun way.
We use colours, shapes, emojis and cards with pictures and dance movement vocabulary which are explained in more detail in our online videos.
Our holistic approach to movement for student empowerment, makes this program ideal, not only for dance teachers but also for all educators around the world who strive to keep their students interested, motivated and inspired. Whether you teach language, science or maths, our program will enable you to make your lessons more engaging and your students more inspired and happy!
If you are a committed teacher whose students are eager to dance, ZOOM or any other app that you are using, can be very beneficial, as it allows you to continue communication and interaction, focus on details, answer questions, be extra creative, all resulting in an effective creative procedure in learning dance.
If you are interested in our program, feel free to download our videos from our website.
LET'S BE CREATIVE AND LET’S MAKE OUR STUDENTS HAPPY!
